Craig Ceecee, M.Sc.

Meteorologist, Instructor, Researcher and Science Communicator

I’m a Ph.D. candidate, researcher, instructor and science communicator currently attending Mississippi State University within the Department of Geosciences. My primary focus is on identifying opportunities to protect citizens from severe weather, including tornadoes. I have written several articles and posters on tornado awareness in vulnerable situations. My current dissertation (anticipated completion in the first half of 2023) focuses on tornado awareness in difficult situations and becoming aware of tornado shelters in your community.

One of my principal focuses is on ensuring absolute safety during tornadoes. Click on some of the other links to investigate some of my findings. The ultimate goal is a Weather-Ready Nation and I am working to ensure such happens – both on social media and in the outside world that we live in. I am a member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and work heavily with both of them.

Member of the American Meteorological Society since 2014
Member of the National Weather Association since 2014
